This song portrays a wanderer who goes to Jerusalem. He holds a flag while crossing lands and waters, and he will not rest until he reaches his homeland. Once there, he will find light and lift the flag of freedom – the flag of Zion. This Jewish wanderer has a Zionist mission to achieve.
