This text was published in the second volume of Ha-Zamir (Odessa, 1903: p. 12).

“Yesh ba-ye'arim” praises the beauty of nature, including the forest and the garden. Such wondrous things, the song goes on to say, can also be found in books. Children are thus urged to "hurry up to the books".

The lyrics were set to the tune of a German folksong melody, from the song "Es gingen drei Jaeger" [Three Hunters are Coming] or "Es zogen drei Bursche" [Three Young Men are Saying]. The Hebrew lyrics make no reference to the German text.

The melody is in a major key.
